P24 – Customers & delivery drivers complaining of traffic delays & access to surfers central

P22 –  Dumb on every level stupid at every angle

P21 – Get someone qualified, who has studied traffic flow and logistics, like the council would make a developer provide reports, cause and affect

P19 – Please re open the road. It makes the traffic worse and is not used enough to make it worthwhile

P17 – Great for tourism. Great for locals

P15 – Ridiculous idea to close road. Business downturn and traffic chaos

P14 – Since the road closure, the clientele has changed. Yes we get familys through but we now have a increasing number of homeless, drunks, eshie kids, thieves. There is no security, no police presence. It's a free for all on Friday and Saturday nights. Its getting very unsafe. Don't even start me on how dirty Surfers looks now. Nothing gets cleaned, the toilets mould is growing daily. 😔

P13 – Have tried to contact council but never get a response.

P12 – Delays in negotiating traffic snarls and increased traffic in Orchid and Cavill impacts times and costs associated with picking up and dropping off passengers

P9 – The traffic is horrendous and will only get worse once the new music and civic hall starts being built

P7 – We live at Main Beach and use the Esplanade as a weekly commute to take our kids to and from school and extra curicular activities. The closure is ridiculous considering it is a major road to travel North and South. We frequent Surfers regularly being for a walk, dinner or to take the kids to explore. The majority of the closure looks cheap and tacky and the sand dirty. I do appreciate that those less able can utilise this sand box but it still looks gross, actually it looks filthy. The only time I saw the hammocks being used kids were swinging on them like seesaws. The plant boxes look horrible and so cheap as do the Parcore boxes....if they are atill there. A positive was sitting at the Surf Club one evening, where the kids could run safely on the road. That was short lived because then the pedal cars came fanging through looking to get customers and zip them around crearing obsticles to those walking. UNFORTUNATELY THE ROAD CLOSURE IS A JOKE. THERE IS NO PEOPLE 80% OF THE TIME 😞

P6 – Impossible to get through surfers in a timely manner - traffic is horrendous

P5 – It’s a terrible decision to close the esplanade. The streets are already congested and it is putting off buyers to the area.

P3 – Hurry up and open it up so businesses can survive

P1 – This has really affected our shop and our business turnover this is very concerning as we have massive rents our turn over has dropped about 30 percent
